Bill Finger Award

The Bill Finger Award For Excellence In Comic Book Writing är en amerikansk utmärkelse för serietidningsförfattare som inte ärats efter förtjänst under sin professionella karriär. Sedan 2005 delas det ut till två författare årligen, en levande och en död (postumt). Det delas ut samtidigt som Will Eisner Awards på mässan San Diego Comic-Con.
Priset kom till efter ett förslag av Batman-författaren Jerry Robinson som ett sätt att hedra kollegan Bill Finger, som liksom Robinson själv aldrig blev krediterad som upphovsman under sin karriär hos DC Comics. Även pristagaren Arnold Drake har sagt att han kom på iden till priset.[1]
Det går även inofficiellt under namnet The Finger Award och har av vissa ansetts syfta på antingen det sätt på vilket serieförlagen "gav fingret" åt serieskaparna förr i tiden, eller på att priset idag är ett sätt för serieskapare att "ge fingret" åt serieindustrin.
