Lista över DC-titlar (2011-2016)
The New 52 var etiketten för 2011 års nysatsning DC Comics' huvudutgivning (DC:s universum) - den mest omfattande reboten sedan 1986 års "Crisis on Infinite Earths". Det är även den övergripande termen för utgivningen DC:s huvudsakliga utgivning under åren 2011-2016.
Översikt
Sommaren 2011 hade utgivningen av samtliga förlagets tidningar avslutats (undantagit underetiketterna Vertigo och Johnny DC, samt satirtidningen Mad Magazine), och i september samma år återuppstod flertalet av dem med ny, nollställd, numrering . Detta innefattade bland annat de anrika Action Comics och Detective Comics som hade publicerats utan avbrott sedan 1930-talet.
Innehållsmässigt var bakgrunden till omstarten miniserien Flashpoint i vilken superhjälten Flash orsakar en omdaning av seriens verklighet (det så kallade DC:s universum), inklusive dess historia och de människor som befolkar den (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, etc) och deras bakgrund och inbördes relationer.
"The New 52"-etiketten bibehölls till och med maj 2015, men händelseförloppet fortgick i ytterligare ett år, innan nästa stora omdaning/reboot tog vid: "DC Rebirth", med start i maj 2016.
Utgivning
Reguljär utgivning
När utgivningen inleddes i september 2011 delades den upp i sju grupper: "Superman", "Batman", "Green Lantern", "Justice League", "Young Justice", "The Edge" (med krigs-, science fiction-, västern- och kriminalserier, samt figurer från WildStorm-etiketten) och "The Dark" (med figurer från Vertigo-etiketten).
Ursprungligen omfattade utgivningen 52 titlar. När någon av dessa avslutades fylldes dess plats av en ny titel, och denna successiva utveckling skedde i nio "vågar" under "The New 52"-etiketten och i ytterligare två efter att den hade avslutats: den andra vågen kom i maj 2012, den tredje i september 2012, den fjärde i januari-mars 2013, den femte i maj-juli 2013, den sjätte i oktober-december 2013, den sjunde i april 2014, den åttonde i juni-juli 2014, och den nionde i oktober-december 2014. En tionde våg kom i samband med att "The New 52"-etiketten försvann i juni 2015, och en sista, elfte våg, kom i oktober 2015, ett halvår innan "DC Rebirth" inleddes.
För att markera årsdagen av "The New 52" avbröts den reguljära utgivningen av temanummer i september månad 2012 ("Zero" – med tidningar som utspelade sig innan varje titels #1. Notera dock att #0 av Harley Quinn och Justice League United inte publicerades som en del av 2012-eventet.), 2013 ("Villains" – med tidningar "kapade" av respektive series huvudfiende(r)), och 2014 ("Futures End" – med tidningar som utspelar sig i framtiden). Sommaren 2015 publicerades dessutom extranummer av en handfull "Batman"-relaterade titlar, vilka anknöt till "Batman"-sviten "Endgame", publicerad i Batman #35-40. Härutöver publicerades också annuals av flera titlar.
De månatliga titlar som fortfor att publiceras under hela perioden september 2011 till april 2016 , totalt 12 till antalet, kom vardera att in alles omfatta 52 nummer, plus sidoutgivning.
